Course Offerings for Teens
Super 7 French & Super 7 Spanish
The Super 7 courses are best for teens and adults who want a focused beginner crash course or a refresher before pursuing further study. The courses center on seven high-frequency verbs that help learners understand and have basic conversations. Through music, stories, and guided practice, students learn to combine essential vocabulary and useful language patterns. The courses last eight weeks, with two one-hour classes per week or one two-hour class per week. Students who want to continue can move into an appropriate ongoing course. Each classes covers only one language however students are welcome to take both classes. These courses are offered in-person and online.
Teen French
Teen French is designed for teenagers who are beginning French or looking for a structured way to strengthen their foundation. Using the Nous Sommes curriculum, students build understanding through stories, readings, discussions, and cultural exploration. Lessons introduce useful vocabulary and common language patterns while developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Each session lasts eight weeks, with two one-hour classes per week. Nous Sommes is a continuing course, with successive sessions building on earlier learning so students can advance over multiple years.
Teen Spanish
Teen Spanish is designed for teenagers who want to begin learning Spanish or develop a stronger foundation alongside previous study. Using the SOMOS curriculum, students explore Spanish through engaging stories, readings, discussions, and cultural topics. Lessons build listening and reading comprehension while helping students gain confidence expressing their own ideas through speaking and writing. Each session lasts eight weeks, with two one-hour classes per week. This is a continuing course with a sequence that builds across sessions, allowing students to keep advancing over multiple years. This course is offered in-person and online.
