Course Offerings for Kids
Preschool Spanish
Preschool Spanish is best for young children beginning their language-learning journey. Songs, movement, stories, and playful activities introduce familiar topics such as greetings, colors, numbers, animals, and everyday routines. Children develop listening skills and begin connecting Spanish words with actions and meaning in a relaxed, encouraging setting. Each drop-in class lasts 45 minutes, allowing families to participate without committing to a full course. Children can continue attending to reinforce familiar language and gradually build their understanding.
Elementary Spanish
Elementary Spanish is designed for elementary-aged children who are new to Spanish or ready to build on an early introduction. Through stories, songs, games, and interactive activities, students explore everyday vocabulary and simple ways to communicate. Lessons encourage children to understand spoken Spanish and grow more comfortable responding at their own pace. Each session lasts six weeks, with one 45-minute class per week. Students can continue into additional sessions to expand their skills over time.
Pre-Teen Spanish
Pre-Teen Spanish is best for pre-teens and middle-school students who want an engaging introduction to Spanish and a structured way to keep learning. Using the VAMOS curriculum, students build understanding through stories, conversation, reading, and activities suited to their age. Lessons introduce useful vocabulary and common language structures in context, helping students understand and communicate meaningful ideas. Each session lasts eight weeks, with two one-hour classes per week. VAMOS is a continuing course, so students can enroll in successive sessions that build on previous learning.
